What's Up Now
CRIME WATCH MEETING - TUESDAY, AUGUST 11, AT 6:30PM AT FIREHOUSE.
TPOA now has an official Facebook page. As a Thunderbird Point property owner you can join the group. You'll get the following:
- Official Announcements: Immediate updates on water/power maintenance, subdivision security.
- Programs & Plans: Sneak peeks and progress reports on current projects and future developments being handled by the Board of Directors.
- Community Events: Invitations to general assemblies, neighborhood meetings, and seasonal community activities.
TPOA Annual Meeting was held Saturday, July 18. The following people were elected as TPOA Officers and Directors:

TPOA has five Directors on a three-year term, Joel Lopez continues as Director - he was not up for election this year.
The Board received good insight from the community members present at the meeting.
Pool
The pool hours are now 9AM to 9 PM.
Anyone entering pool area must have an access card. Please do not open gate to anyone without an access card.
Pool furniture was originally donated to the community - when the pool furniture and umbrellas are no longer usable, they will be removed and not replaced.
Five guests per family allowed in pool area. TPOA property owner must be present with guest while at the pool.
No children under 14 years of age may be at the pool without adult supervision.
Items left behind in the pool such as floats or pool toys will be disposed of.

Card Bingo - August 13, 6:30 PM at the fire house; snacks provided.
Members' Rights
Members may attend monthly Board Meetings.
If the member wishes to speak with the Board, he/she will need to get permission from the Association President prior to meeting and be added to the agenda.
Making Assessment Payment to TPOA
Dues can be paid through mail to TPOA, 471 County Road 2603, Pittsburg, TX 75686. All payments must be made with a money order or check (no cash) through the mail. Please do not take payments to this address.
Access cards can be obtained by sending a stamped self-addressed envelope to TPOA, 471 County Road 2603, Pittsburg, TX 75686. Dues must be current to receive new card.
You can sign up to receive emergency alerts through your telephone for Camp County and Pittsburg by Smart911.
No Burn Bans in Camp County at this time.

TPOA Community POOL
POOL RULES
Access cards to the pool and boat ramp have changed effective July 1.
The TPOA community pool is an asset to us all. We need adults and parents to help us keep the facility clean and safe.
- WARNING - NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY
- IN CASE OF EMERGENCY, DIAL 911 (Address is 471 CR 2603, Pittsburg, TX 75686)
- An EMERGENCY phone capable of only dialing 911 is located in the pool area.
- Hours of operation: 9 AM to 9 PM daily (Closed Friday mornings for maintenance.)
- Pool is for Thunderbird Point property owners' use.
- Access card is required for entry.
- Maximum user load limit: 108 people
- Pets are not allowed in the pool.
- DO NOT swim if you have been ill with diarrhea within the past two weeks.
- Changing diapers within 6 feet of the pool is not allowed.
- Glass items are not allowed in the pool yard.
- Persons under the age of 14 must NOT be in the pool without ADULT SUPERVISION.
- Extended breath-holding activities are dangerous and not allowed.
- NO diving
- NO food
- NO smoking or vaping
- NO profanity
- NO alcohol or drugs
- The throwable ring buoys are for Emergency Use Only, they are not pool toys.

Thunderbird Volunteer Fire Department will be voting on officers and board members for the upcoming year. If you are interested in serving on the board, please contact Jim Dyson at 214-223-0173.
Dear Property Owner,
We are located within the Thunderbird Point Subdivision but serve many of the surrounding communities, including Hills Point, Pistol Mills, Oak Ridge, Sunset Bay, Meadows Lake, "The Point", Eagle Shores, etc. TVFD works closely with the Pittsburg Fire Department, and our fire fighters are on call 24/7. We are "first responders" as we can often get to the fire ahead of other departments depending on the location of the event.
TVFD is not only about fires. We respond to medical emergencies in our community before the ambulance arrives which can mean the difference between life and death, especially in rural areas.
TVFD is undergoing restructuring and needs your continued support. In our effort to raise funds and recruit members, we have held numerous fundraisers including several fish fries, gumbo cookoffs, chili cookoffs, and pancake breakfasts. We have used some of these funds to buy "bunker gear" which is our protective garments, a fire engine truck, install a flag pole at the firehouse, maintain our two brush fire trucks, purchase a pump so that we can take water from the lake where appropriate, add a new ladder and fire extinguishers so that our volunteers can go into harm's way as fully prepared as possible. Firefighting is very important to our community and requires a fair amount of funds to keep operating! Donations are encouraged and we thank you for your continued support!

August 7, 2026 - The Thunderbird Volunteer Fire Department would like to take this opportunity to thank Nelda Crocker for the giving of her time and talents teaching line dancing classes at our fire station each Monday evening for the last 6 months. In that time, because of Nelda, the students donated almost $1,000 of much needed funds to our fire department. THANK YOU!
